Paint

I can’t understand why it was so difficult to get my hands on a few paint swatches & samples in Poland. You would think that paint is a booming business with all the new houses being built around Srem. In the UK the range of colour and paint brands are extensive. I find something therapeutic about picking paint finishes, thumbing through swatches & imagining what the rooms will look like. When we returned to the UK the next day we headed to the local B&Q to buy a number of samples. Looking for the perfect base colour Iza painted small squares of each shade with great excitement. I love the names they come up with enticing you to buy “Apricot Crush, Cookie Dough, Almond White. Buttermilk”

  1. Since computer colour mixed paints are common in Poland, I thought I'd have a look to see what was available in Śrem. http://www.farbyzachodnia.srem.com.pl/o_firmie.htm says Farby Zachodnia in Śrem has 6,000 colours. Not bad.

  2. Thanks i've been there. I wasn't talking about how may colours are available but how easy it's to get your hand on swatches & samples. Paint swatches are free in the UK and as an interior designer feel its important to see a sample first.
